Most students try the "study group thing" at some point in their career, but only few make it a habit - why?

Over the years, I have heard quite a few reasons .... including: it is hard to coordinate your legitimately busy schedules, too bothersome to figure out logistics of where to meet, not having any friends to work with or troubles finding the right people to work with, being afraid of empowering your "competitors", or feeling that the meetings you have do not really do anything much

While any or all of this may feel true for you, all of these "obstacles" can be overcome if you understand why group study is powerful, and know how to structure your study meetings properly.
